Victoria J. Battles, D.C., FICPA, CCSP
Dr. Battles has a full-time practice and recently ended her five year Associate Professorship at CCCLA, where she taught a variety of classes, including Clinical Neurology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Physiotherapy, and Technique. She received her Fellowship from the ICPA in 2001 and became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner in 2004.

The two hour course will incorporate the methodology of assessment of the pediatric patient through history and examination as well as specific age-appropriate spinal corrective maneuvers (Diversified Technique) which can be utilized to restore normal motion and function into the pediatric spine.  This seminar will utilize Powerpoint presentations to include photographs, videos, tables, and detailed instructions detailing how to perform the age-appropriate chiropractic manipulative maneuver under discussion.

Gary L Bustin DC, DACBR
Dr Bustin graduated from LACC in 1981, completed the LACC radiology residency in 1987, passed the ACBR exam and became a member of the ACCR in 1987.  He has been teaching at LACC (now SCUHS) since 1984, and also taught at CCCLA from 2001 until 2011.  Dr Bustin maintains an x-ray reading practice serving doctors throughout LA, Orange and San Bernardino Counties.  He was granted status as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board Of Chiropractic Examiners in 2003.  Memberships in good standing: CCA, ACA, FCER, CDI, ACCR.  Twenty three years experience working on-site with doctors of chiropractic provides the material for a course that is both interesting and useful.

I summarize and simplify the rapidly-evolving digital x-ray technologies of interest to chiropractors, discuss the limitations of plain films, define both minimum and optimum radiographic sets to take for various clinical situations, and review how to take each of them. A multitude of pictures, short videos, normals and pathology are shown, reinforcing which pathology can be missed by excluding important views.  Pathology cases are constantly updated.  This presentation has taken many years to build and is over 1,400 Powerpoint "slides" long. You will enjoy seeing 'your' chiropractic cases from 23 years of reading practice.
